Welcome to Exeter Quilters

In 2022 Exeter Quilters celebrated our 40th birthday.

We are a group of around 60 enthusiastic quilters based in Exeter, Devon. We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 7.30 p.m. at St. Thomas Church Hall, Cowick Street, Exeter.

Our Wednesday meetings are a mix of visiting speakers, slide shows and demonstrations/mini workshops. Visitors are welcome to these meetings. The cost is £2 for members/£3 for visitors for ordinary meetings and £3 for members/£4 for visitors if we have a visting speaker. Costs include admission and tea/coffee.

See our diary page to find out what we have planned.

Our monthly Sit and Sew sessions in Exwick Parish Hall last from 2pm– 4pm and are a chance to sit and chat/hand sew, and maybe get some help with something you're stuck on. The cost is £2.

We organise several workshops with guest teachers over the year and non-members are welcome to join us, space permitting. We try to keep fees to a minimum but they will vary depending on venue and teacher.

We welcome new members, so if you're interested, do get in touch (contact details below).

Raffle Quilt

The 2022 first prize was this quilt/throw, hand-pieced and quilted by the late Mary Sutcliffe. It is 60" (150 cm) square. The draw took place on Wednesday 9th November and the presentation to the winners was made at our Christmas meeting. All the proceeds of the raffle were divided equally between our two charities, Hospiscare and Balloons.
