EQ's 35th Birthday Retreat and Celebration

Bring along your 12-inch 'Letter' Challenge blocks. We will add them to our display over the three days and there will be prizes for the viewers' choice as well as Linda and Trish's favourite on the Saturday afternoon.

There will also be a prize for the mis-match challenge on Saturday.

Thursday 17th August

You are welcome to leave your machine and supplies in the hall overnight if you wish as it is not being used in the evening.

Kate Campbell will be holding a bag making workshop. The supply list, instructions etc. are as follows:

You are welcome to leave your machine and supplies at one end of the hall overnight if you wish although the other end will be in use in the evening by people from outside.

Friday Evening Meal at the Traveller's Rest Pub (Tedburn Road, Whitestone, Exeter, EX4 2HQ)

We are arranging for us to go the Travellers Rest pub for an early evening meal at 6 pm. The food here has been recommended and they offer a carvery on a Friday evening with two for £13. The pub is on the outer edge of Whitestone so a lift can be arranged to/from the Village Hall/pub for anyone who'd prefer.

Feel free to bring your partner or at friend if you wish. If you'd like to come but were not at this July's meeting then please let Trish know.

Saturday 19th August, including 35th Birthday Tea

• Mis-match challenge, worked on with a friend in a pair. Small kit of mis-matched fabrics supplied to make a wall hanging 16" x 10".
• Enjoy working on your own sewing project.
• Bring your own packed lunch and sew with friends.
• Quizzes to do in your own time just for fun.
• 'Alphabet' challenge quilts. Viewers' choice.

35th Birthday celebration tea party from 3 pm on Saturday at Whitestone Village Hall

We thought a big tea party to celebrate our birthday would be great fun. Please bring either a cake, scones or some sandwiches to share (contact Trish if you have not laready signed-up). We will announce the winners of the letters challenge and the mis-match challenge.
